Game 8: July 30th is Cancelled

We've cancelled the game on June 30th as everyone is fleeing the city to celebrate Canada Day.

We'll have to schedule a make-up game for either July 21st or July 28th for this one.

Next game: July 7th, details to follow.

Game 7 Review - A good effort

Well, the good news is we had a lot of fun. The bad news is that we lost 18-14.

We had a slow start allowing them to score 7 runs in the first inning but managed to keep our spirits high anyway. I thought everyone played really well and we could have actually beaten these guys if we had played one more inning.

It was good to see that they had lightened up a little bit from all the games we've played against them and were actually decent last night.

Well, that's it. Nothing creative, entertaining or perverted from me this report card.

All right everyone, we knew this was coming....We're playing "THEM" again. Dave has promised he will be wearing his old hat and underwear for the next game so we need everyone to get psyched up to kick some ass. We're more fun, better looking and we can beat these guys.

I'd suggest that everyone show up early for this one to get that extra beer and group hug in !

Game 6 review - We are on fire baby !

What's that smell ? That my friends is the sweet smell of yet another victory. We played hard, we had fun and the result was a 18-8 win ! Way - to - go - Cats !!

All in all we had a great game. Rich was on fire snagging everything that came his way, Dave had his moments too, and Jayson knocked one over the fence !! I managed to sneak in a home run too although my pitching was absolute shit. If I've forgotten any great plays it's Molson's fault. Send me some reminders and I'll be sure to update the site.

The team we played were a fun lot and even managed to enjoy themselves after Steve damn near killed one of their players with a line drive to Mr. Happy. My hat goes off to that guy, I'd have been laying in the fetal position crying like a little boy at a Michael Jackson sleep-over.

Well, congrats again everyone, I'm proud of you guys ! Ha, just kidding, you're a sorry bunch of bastards and I only come out to release on you. Ok, there are a couple of you I'd sleep with after enough beer.

Game 5 Review - the Cats rally to a 15 - 5 victory !

We had one hell of a game and managed to pull off a 15-5 victory. I think it had a lot to do with all the new faces that come out. Thank you to Steve, Becky, Cherie, Kathleen, Roger and Jason for coming out and having some fun with us. The team we played were a fun lot too and that always makes a difference.

The play of the game has to go to Pat and Doug. Pat for somehow getting the ball from deep centre to Doug on Second base who pulled off this Jean Claude Van Damme style stretch to catch the ball and still keep one foot on the bag. I'd have ripped my bag trying a stunt like that.

Honorable mentions have to go out to Kathleen for the cannon that she calls an arm, man can that girl throw, and also to Shauna and Jason (her brother) for entertaining us with their strong family bond. I believe I heard them lovingly refer to each other as "Fat Bastard" and "Whorebag". Now that's love.

We held out as long as we could but decided that even if it wasn't raining come game time - the field would have been way too wet to play.

Looks like we'll have to schedule a make-up game which means a double header one of these nights !
